Elias Limber O'Besso

Elias Limber O'Besso a successful businessman and life-long resident of Elizabeth, NJ, died of COVID-19 complications on May 12, 2021 at the age of 77 surrounded by his loved ones. 

Elias was born in Lima, Peru on February 16, 1944 to Juana Toledo Macedo and Miguel del Carmen O'Besso Pozo. He graduated from the University of Lima with a degree in radiology and worked as a Radiology Technician. There he met a Laboratory Technician Carmen Rosa Rubinos. They married September 15th, 1978 and would eventually raise 3 sons and 2 daughters.

At the age of 30, he chose to leave his career behind and move to the United States, in the hopes of providing a better future for his family. He worked hard and became a sucessful businessman in the food industry. He opened the first Peruvian restaurant in Elizabeth known as "El Dorado" where he became well known for his authentic "Pollo a la brasa" and one of a kind "green hot sauce" among other Peruvian dishes. His recipies set the standards for others to follow, but none could match his authenticity. He enjoyed singing and performing, and became well known as "Limber de America", which led him to become a beloved artist throughout his community. 

Elias had a lifetime of faithful service to Jehovah; It was very important for him to give praise by witnessing to everyone he met. He witnessed to people in the territory, clients, loved ones; anyone and everyone. Elias loved doing whatever he could in Jehovah service and encouraged everyone to take up the work of full-time service. His strong faith and preserverance gave him the strength to fight for almost 2 months while hospitalized, he gained the respect and admiration of doctors, nurses and everyone who witnessed his hard fought battle. 

Elias is survived by his children: Jacquelin Diamont, Mandy, Michael O'Besso, Anthony O'Besso, Alexander O'Besso, Amanda O'Besso, and Yessenia O'Besso. Grandchildren: Jairo Valencia Jaida O'Besso. Jason O'Besso, Anthony O'Besso, Javier Valencia, Angel O'Besso, Jordan O'Besso, Dayanira O'Besso, Melanie O'Besso, Samantha Sparkmon, Mariel O'Besso, Michael O'Besso II, Adelina O'Besso, Alex Diamont, Michael Diamont, and Korina. Great Grandhcildren: Amari O'Besso, Prince O'Besso, and Elias Sparkmon.

Just as the dew revives vegetation, so does the operation of God's active force, or spirit, will awaken the dead from their sleep. Elias' battle is over. He maintained his friendship, integrity and devotion to his creator, Jehovah. Now he is resting, waiting for the day when Jesus Christ will call his name. (John 5:28;29)
