Piedad Margarita Cardenas, 83, of Rahway, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Family and friends are welcome to visit on Monday, June 1st from 10-12pm in Las Rosas Bannworth Funeral Home, 1055 E. Jersey Street Elizabeth, NJ 07201. Interment will follow in Forest Green Park Cemetery, Morganville, NJ.

Piedad will be remembered as a devoted mother, loving grandmother, and a kind soul whose warmth touched everyone who knew her. She dedicated her life to her family and found her greatest joy in caring for those she loved.

She was the devoted mother of Mideisy Monzon and Miriam Monzon, the cherished grandmother of Asiel Yera, Saily Rodriguez and Suilen Rodriguez, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. Piedad’s love, strength, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the blessing of knowing her.

Familiares y amigos están cordialmente invitados a visitar el lunes 1 de junio de 10:00am a 12:00pm en Las Rosas Bannworth Funeral Home. El sepelio continuará en el Cementerio Forest Green Park, Morganville, NJ.

Piedad será recordada como una madre devota, una abuela amorosa y un alma bondadosa cuya calidez tocó a todos los que la conocieron. Dedicó su vida a su familia y encontró su mayor alegría en cuidar de sus seres queridos.

Fue la dedicada madre de Mideisy Monzón y Miriam Monzón, y la querida abuela de Asiel Yera, Saily Rodríguez y Suilen Rodríguez, quienes siempre llevarán su recuerdo en sus corazones. El amor, la fortaleza y el espíritu bondadoso de Piedad serán profundamente extrañados por su familia, amigos y todos aquellos que tuvieron la bendición de conocerla.
