Maria Serrano

Maria Serrano, 61, of Reading, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2025, surrounded by her beloved family.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Maria was proud of her Puerto Rican heritage and the deep cultural roots that shaped her life. She was the cherished daughter of the late Ambrosio and Candidad Serrano, who instilled in her the values of strength, compassion, and unwavering love for family.

A devoted and loving mother, Maria leaves behind her children: Hector Cruz, Jr., Frankie Feliciano, George Feliciano, and Olga Francis Rivera Millan. Her life was centered around her family, and she was a guiding light to those she loved. Her nurturing spirit, infectious laughter, and boundless generosity will be remembered by all who knew her.

Maria had a warm heart, a resilient spirit, and an open door to anyone in need. She found joy in the simple pleasures—cooking for her family, sharing stories from her youth, and making lasting memories with her grandchildren and loved ones.

Her legacy of love, strength, and dedication will continue to live on in the hearts of her children, extended family, and countless friends whose lives she touched.

Family and friends are welcome to visit on Friday, May 30th, from 9-11am in Las Rosas Bannworth Funeral Home, 1055 E. Jersey Street, Elizabeth, NJ.

Funeral service will commence at 11am in the funeral home.

Interment will follow in Rosemount Cemetery, Elizabeth.

She will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.
