Maria L. Rodriguez, 85, of Elizabeth, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2026, at Trinitas Hospital – Williamson Street Campus in Elizabeth, New Jersey.

Family and friends are welcome to visit on Tuesday, July 7th from 5-8pm in Las Rosas Bannworth Funeral Home, 1055 E. Jersey Street Elizabeth, NJ 07201.

Funeral Service will commence on Wednesday, July 8th, 9:30am in the funeral home followed by an Interment in Rosehill Cemetery, Linden, NJ.

Born on June 2, 1941, in Ponce, Puerto Rico, Maria was the beloved daughter of Vicente Maldonado and Josefina Torres. She later made New Jersey her home, where she built a life centered on love, family, and devotion.

Maria was a dedicated homemaker whose greatest joy came from caring for those she loved. She created a warm and welcoming home where family always came first. Her kindness, strength, and generous spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

She was the cherished wife of Miguel A. Rodriguez, with whom she shared many years of marriage, companionship, and unwavering love. Together they built a family founded on faith, resilience, and enduring commitment.

Maria will be remembered for her gentle heart, quiet strength, and the love she so freely gave to her family and friends. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vicente Maldonado and Josefina Torres.

Though she is no longer with us in person, Maria's legacy of love, compassion, and devotion to her family will remain a source of comfort and inspiration for generations to come.
