Maria Olinda Rodrigues

Maria Olinda Rodrigues, 87, of Elizabeth, NJ, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025, surrounded by the love and comfort of her devoted family.

Born in the picturesque village of Vilar de Besteiros, Tondela, Portugal, Maria brought with her the strength, grace, and warmth of her homeland when she immigrated to the United States. She was the devoted wife of Sergio Rodrigues and the cherished mother of Alice Mariani. A proud and resilient woman, Maria dedicated her life to her family, nurturing them with unconditional love, wisdom, and faith.

She was known for her gentle spirit, generous heart, and unwavering devotion to those she held dear. Her home was always filled with the comforting aromas of home-cooked meals, the laughter of grandchildren, and the enduring presence of love. She found joy in the simple things—her garden, traditional Portuguese music, and sharing stories of her youth.

Maria’s legacy lives on through her beloved family, who will continue to honor her memory by cherishing the values she instilled and the love she so freely gave. Forever loved, forever remembered.

Maria will be laid to rest in Evergreen Cemetery, Hillside, NJ on Monday, July 28th, 2:30pm.
