Maria M Pata

Maria Magdalena Pata, of Elizabeth, NJ, affectionately known as Maria M. Pata, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2026, at the age of 83.

Born on March 14, 1943, in Gafanha da Encarnação, Portugal, Maria carried with her the values of faith, family, hard work, and kindness throughout her life. She later made her home in Elizabeth, New Jersey, where she devoted herself to her family as a loving homemaker. Her greatest joy came from caring for those she loved and creating a warm, welcoming home filled with love and compassion.

Maria was the beloved wife of Jose F. Pata, with whom she shared many years of marriage. She was a devoted mother whose love, guidance, and unwavering support will forever remain in the hearts of her family. She is especially remembered by her son, Roberto C. Pata, along with the many relatives and friends whose lives she touched through her generosity and gentle spirit.

She was the cherished daughter of the late Joao Caloico and Auzenda Mateiro. Though she never sought recognition, Maria's quiet strength, selflessness, and dedication to her family left a lasting legacy that will continue for generations.

Maria passed away at Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth, New Jersey, on July 28, 2026. She will be remembered for her warm heart, resilience, and the unconditional love she gave so freely to those around her.
