With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Maria Helena Cardoso Tenente Correia, who departed this life peacefully on June 18, 2026, in Newark, New Jersey, at the age of 66.

Born on November 13, 1959, in Coimbra, Portugal, Maria Helena was the beloved daughter of Manuel Gomes Tenente and Ana de Encarnação Cardoso. She carried with her the rich traditions, values, and warmth of her Portuguese heritage throughout her life.

Maria Helena devoted many years of her life to working as a housekeeper, a profession through which she demonstrated her strong work ethic, dedication, and care for others. She approached every responsibility with humility, pride, and grace, earning the respect and appreciation of those who knew her.

Above all else, Maria Helena was a devoted wife, mother, and family matriarch. She shared a loving marriage with her husband, Arlindo Marques Correia, and together they built a life centered on family, faith, and perseverance. Her greatest joy came from caring for her loved ones and creating a home filled with warmth, comfort, and unconditional love.

Maria Helena will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her devoted husband, Arlindo Marques Correia; her cherished children, Rui Miguel Cardoso Correia and Ana Raquel Cardoso Correia; and by her extended family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by her kindness and generosity.

Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who loved her, her memory will live on through the values she instilled, the love she shared, and the countless moments of joy she brought to others.

Com profunda tristeza, anunciamos o falecimento de Maria Helena Cardoso Tenente Correia, que partiu serenamente desta vida no dia 18 de junho de 2026, em Newark, Nova Jérsia, aos 66 anos de idade.

Nascida em 13 de novembro de 1959, em Coimbra, Portugal, Maria Helena era a querida filha de Manuel Gomes Tenente e Ana de Encarnação Cardoso. Ao longo da sua vida, levou consigo as ricas tradições, os valores e o calor humano da sua herança portuguesa.

Maria Helena dedicou muitos anos da sua vida ao trabalho como empregada doméstica, profissão através da qual demonstrou a sua forte ética de trabalho, dedicação e cuidado para com os outros. Encarava cada responsabilidade com humildade, orgulho e elegância, conquistando o respeito e a admiração de todos os que tiveram o privilégio de a conhecer.

Acima de tudo, Maria Helena foi uma esposa dedicada, uma mãe amorosa e o pilar da sua família. Partilhou uma união feliz e duradoura com o seu marido, Arlindo Marques Correia, e juntos construíram uma vida assente na família, na fé e na perseverança. A sua maior alegria era cuidar dos seus entes queridos e criar um lar repleto de carinho, conforto e amor incondicional.

Maria Helena será recordada com muito amor e profunda saudade pelo seu dedicado marido, Arlindo Marques Correia; pelos seus queridos filhos, Rui Miguel Cardoso Correia e Ana Raquel Cardoso Correia; bem como pelos restantes familiares, amigos e por todos aqueles cujas vidas foram tocadas pela sua bondade e generosidade.

Embora a sua partida deixe um vazio imensurável no coração de todos os que a amavam, a sua memória viverá para sempre através dos valores que transmitiu, do amor que partilhou e dos inúmeros momentos de alegria que proporcionou aos outros.
