Manuela Ortega Tapia, 31, of Newark, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday May 30th from 4-8pm in Las Rosas Bannworth Funeral Home, 1055 E. Jersey Street Elizabeth, NJ 07201.

Repatriation services to Mexico is under the care and supervision of Las Rosas Bannworth Funeral Home.

Born on February 11, 1995, in Xalpatiahuac, Guerrero, Mexico, Manuela was the beloved daughter of Delfino Ortega Cortes and Virginia Tapia Mendes. She carried with her the warmth, strength, and traditions of her Mexican heritage throughout her life.

Manuela will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and the love she shared with those around her. She brought comfort and joy to her family and friends, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She was a loving sister to Miguel Angel Ortega Tapia, with whom she shared a close and cherished bond.

Though her life was far too short, Manuela’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched. Her family finds comfort in the love and support they have received during this difficult time.

Familiares y amigos están cordialmente invitados a acompañar a la familia el sábado 30 de mayo de 4:00 p.m. a 8:00 p.m. en Las Rosas Bannworth Funeral Home, ubicado en 1055 E. Jersey Street, Elizabeth, NJ 07201.

Nacida el 11 de febrero de 1995 en Xalpatiahuac, Guerrero, México, Manuela fue la querida hija de Delfino Ortega Cortes y Virginia Tapia Mendes. Llevó consigo el calor, la fortaleza y las tradiciones de sus raíces mexicanas a lo largo de toda su vida.

Manuela será recordada por su noble corazón, su espíritu gentil y el amor que compartía con quienes la rodeaban. Brindó consuelo y alegría a su familia y amigos, y su presencia será profundamente extrañada por todos aquellos que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerla.

Fue una hermana amorosa de Miguel Angel Ortega Tapia, con quien compartió un vínculo cercano y muy especial.
