Luz A Muñoz

Luz Angela Muñoz, 71, of Elizabeth, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2026, at Elmora Hills Nursing Home in Elizabeth, New Jersey.

Family and friends are welcome to visit on Saturday, October 10th from 3-5pm in Las Rosas Bannworth Funeral Home, 1055 E. Jersey Street Elizabeth, NJ 07201.

Born on March 15, 1955, in Girardot, Colombia, Luz was a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished member of her family. She was the beloved daughter of the late Alfonso Muñoz and Ana Celina Polanco Mendez.

Luz will be remembered for her warm heart, loving spirit, and devotion to her family. She enjoyed listening to music, especially cumbias, old boleros, and salsa. She loved singing and treasured spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren, who held a very special place in her heart. Luz also enjoyed attending church and watching her favorite telenovelas.

Throughout her life, Luz was deeply devoted to caring for her mother, siblings, and nephews. She gave of herself generously to those she loved and will be remembered for the love, care, and dedication she showed to her family.

She is survived by her loving children, Gabriel Rubiano and Luz Muñoz; daughter-in-law Ana Rubiano; her beloved grandchildren, Alexia Suazo, Luis Rubiano, and Liam Luciano; as well as her cherished cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Luz will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends, and the love she shared with those around her will continue to live on through the generations.

Nacida el 15 de marzo de 1955, en Girardot, Colombia, Luz fue una querida madre, abuela y miembro muy apreciado de su familia. Fue hija de los fallecidos Alfonso Muñoz y Ana Celina Polanco Mendez.

Luz será recordada por su corazón bondadoso, su espíritu amoroso y su profunda dedicación a su familia. Disfrutaba escuchar música, especialmente cumbias, boleros antiguos y salsa. Le encantaba cantar y atesoraba pasar tiempo con su familia, especialmente con sus nietos, quienes ocupaban un lugar muy especial en su corazón. Luz también disfrutaba asistir a la iglesia y ver sus telenovelas favoritas.

A lo largo de su vida, Luz se dedicó profundamente al cuidado de su madre, sus hermanos y sus sobrinos. Siempre se entregó generosamente a las personas que amaba y será recordada por el amor, cuidado y dedicación que brindó a su familia.

Le sobreviven sus queridos hijos, Gabriel Rubiano y Luz Muñoz; su yerna Ana Rubiano; sus amados nietos, Alexia Suazo, Luis Rubiano y Liam Luciano; así como sus queridos primos, sobrinos y demás familiares.

Luz será profundamente extrañada por todos aquellos que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerla y amarla. Su recuerdo permanecerá para siempre en los corazones de sus familiares y amigos, y el amor que compartió con quienes la rodearon continuará viviendo a través de las generaciones.
