Luz Aurora Jimenez Lamprea, 76, of Elizabeth, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2026, surrounded by her loving son, Carlos Jimenez.

Family and friends are welcome to visit on Thursday, April 30th from 5-9pm in Las Rosas Bannworth Funeral Home, 1055 E. Jersey Street Elizabeth, NJ 07201.

Funeral service will commence on Friday, May 1st from 9-12pm. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Hillside, NJ.

Born on December 4, 1949, in Bogotá, Colombia, Luz Aurora was the beloved daughter of Antonio Lamprea and Carmen Sierra. She carried her Colombian roots with pride throughout her life, embracing her culture, values, and deep sense of family.

Luz Aurora immigrated to Brooklyn, New York, in search of opportunity and a better future. She later made Elizabeth, New Jersey her home, where she spent over 52 years building a life centered on love, resilience, and devotion to her family.

A dedicated and strong single mother, Luz Aurora was truly a warrior—facing life’s challenges with quiet strength, unwavering determination, and grace. Her greatest pride and joy was her son, Carlos, whom she raised with boundless love, sacrifice, and care. Their bond was unbreakable, and her love for him was the guiding force of her life.

Luz Aurora will be remembered for her warm and gentle spirit, her open heart, and her kindness to all who knew her. She had a way of making others feel welcomed, loved, and supported, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Her legacy lives on through her son, Carlos Jimenez, and the many lives she touched with her compassion and strength.

Familiares y amigos están cordialmente invitados a visitar el jueves 30 de abril de 5:00 p.m. a 9:00 p.m. en Las Rosas Bannworth Funeral Home.

El servicio fúnebre se llevará a cabo el viernes 1 de mayo de 9:00 a.m. a 12:00 p.m. El sepelio seguirá en Evergreen Cemetery.

Nacida el 4 de diciembre de 1949 en Bogotá, Colombia, Luz Aurora fue la querida hija de Antonio Lamprea y Carmen Sierra. Llevó con orgullo sus raíces colombianas a lo largo de su vida, abrazando su cultura, sus valores y su profundo sentido de familia.

Luz Aurora emigró a Brooklyn, Nueva York, en busca de oportunidades y un futuro mejor. Más tarde estableció su hogar en Elizabeth, Nueva Jersey, donde vivió por más de 52 años, construyendo una vida centrada en el amor, la resiliencia y la dedicación a su familia.
