Lourdes J Rivera

Lourdes Jeanette Rivera, 67, of Elizabeth, NJ, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Peñuelas, Puerto Rico, to Eustaquio and Maria Rivera, Lourdes brought with her a vibrant spirit, infectious humor, and a heart that welcomed all. She made Elizabeth her home, where she became a beloved member of the community—known not only for her cooking and quick wit but for her generosity and unwavering devotion to her family and friends.

Lourdes was a devoted mother to Michelle Arroyo, Jose Pacheco, Miosoti Rivera, and Dios Miguel Rivera. She was the proud and cherished grandmother of fifteen grandchildren who brought endless joy to her life. She is also survived by her loving siblings, Noelia Rivera, Jaime Rivera and Luis Rivera, as well as her loyal canine companion, Gizmo, who never left her side.

Her passions were as unique as her personality—she was an avid wrestling fan, a proud supporter of the Minnesota Vikings, and had a deep love for Tito Rojas' music. Game nights weren’t complete without rounds of Trouble and Jenga, and a Kit Kat was her favorite treat.

Lourdes’ sarcasm was legendary, her food unforgettable, and her love unmatched. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She was truly one of a kind—loved by many, missed by all.

Private cremation will follow in Rosehill Crematory, Linden, NJ.
