Juan Soto, 74, of Elizabeth, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
A devoted father to Marilyn Soto and Johnny Soto, and a cherished husband to Martha Palacio Soto, Juan was the heart of his family. He was a proud grandfather to five and great-grandfather to one precious great-granddaughter, Aaliyah Grovsnor, who brought him endless joy.
Juan was more than a family man—he was a cornerstone of the Elizabeth community. For many years, he worked at the Getty Gas Station across from City Hall, where his kindness and strong work ethic left a lasting impression. True to the spirit of an entrepreneur, Juan eventually followed his dreams and opened S&P Auto Mechanics in Elizabeth. His shop became a trusted name in town, known not just for quality service, but for the warmth and respect he showed every customer who walked through the door.
Outside of work, Juan had a passion for fishing. It was not uncommon to see him at local fishing spots, often sharing stories and laughs with friends and neighbors. He was known around town for his love of the water, and those peaceful moments with a fishing rod in hand reflected the calm, steady presence he brought to those around him.
Juan Soto’s legacy of love, dedication, and community spirit will live on in all who had the privilege to know him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever remain a guiding light in the hearts of his family and the Elizabeth community.
