Hipolito Perez, Sr.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Hipolito Perez, Sr., who departed this life on October 3, 2025, at the age of 68. A beloved father and friend, Hipolito passed peacefully in the Bronx, New York, where he had made his home for many years.

Born on August 21, 1937, in Río Grande, Puerto Rico, Hipolito carried the warmth, resilience, and rich culture of his homeland with him throughout his life. He later settled in the Bronx, where he built a life rooted in hard work, love, and community.

A talented jeweler by profession, Hipolito was known not only for his skilled craftsmanship but also for the pride he took in his work and the relationships he formed with customers and colleagues alike.

Hipolito was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Iris Perez, with whom he shared a deep and enduring bond. He is survived by his loving daughter, Jennie Perez, who will forever cherish his guidance, laughter, and unconditional love.

Family and friends are welcome to visit on Monday, October 6th, from 11-12pm in Las Rosas Bannworth Funeral Home, 1055 E. Jersey Street Elizabeth, NJ 07201.

Interment will follow in Rosehill Cemetery, Linden.
