Forris B. Payne

Forris Benjamin Payne, 73, of Elizabeth, New Jersey, passed away on October 27, 2026, at Trinitas Hospital – Williamson Street Campus in Elizabeth.

Born on October 27, 1953, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Forris was a lifelong resident of the community he called home. He worked as a self-employed sound technician, master disk jockey, musician and entrepreneur and was also associated with Whittaker Brothers throughout his working life.

Forris leaves behind his loving family, including his children, Faye Payne, Eric Payne and Erika Payne who will cherish his memory and the time they shared. He is also survived by his wife, Cecilia Payne, and other relatives and loved ones who will remember him in their own special ways.

Forris will be remembered by those who knew and loved him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

Family and friends are welcome to visit on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Las Rosas Bannworth Funeral Home, 1055 E. Jersey Street, Elizabeth, NJ 07201.

Cremation will take place privately at Rosehill Crematory in Linden, New Jersey. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Las Rosas Bannworth Funeral Home.
