Elvira Diaz Yunda, age 70, of Union, New Jersey, entered into eternal rest on July 16, 2026, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family at her daughter's home.
Family and friends are welcome to visit on Monday, July 20th from 4-8pm in Las Rosas Bannworth Funeral Home, 1055 E. Jersey Street Elizabeth, NJ 07201.
Born on January 17, 1956, in Cali, Valle del Cauca, Colombia, Elvira carried the warmth, resilience, and rich traditions of her Colombian heritage throughout her life. She later made New Jersey her home, where she devoted herself wholeheartedly to her family and those she loved.
Elvira was a dedicated homemaker whose greatest joy came from caring for her family. Her home was a place of comfort, love, and unconditional support. She possessed a quiet strength, a kind heart, and a generous spirit that left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Though she courageously battled uterine cancer for two years, she faced her illness with remarkable dignity, perseverance, and unwavering love for her family.
She was the beloved daughter of the late Daniel Diaz and Sixta Tulia Yunda. Above all else, Elvira cherished her role as a mother. She leaves behind her loving daughter, Angelica Maria Garcia, along with family members and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory and the countless moments they shared together.
Elvira's legacy is one of unconditional love, quiet resilience, compassion, and devotion to family. Her gentle presence, caring heart, and enduring strength will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
Family and friends are invited to gather to honor and celebrate Elvira's life. Following the services, cremation will take place at Rosehill Cemetery in Linden, New Jersey.
May she rest in eternal peace, and may her memory forever be a blessing to those who knew and loved her.
