Elizabeth Torres

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Torres, who entered eternal rest on July 20, 2026, at the age of 65.

Born on August 23, 1960, in San Germán, Puerto Rico, Elizabeth carried the warmth, resilience, and rich traditions of her Puerto Rican heritage throughout her life. She later made her home in Elizabeth, New Jersey, where she built a life alongside her beloved husband and family.

Elizabeth dedicated much of her life to the field of education, serving as an educator with compassion, patience, and a genuine commitment to helping others learn and grow. Her kindness and caring spirit touched the lives of many students, colleagues, friends, and loved ones over the years.

She was the cherished wife of Javier Torres Jusino, whose love and devotion remained constant throughout their marriage. She was the beloved daughter of William Torres and Adelaida Sais, and her memory will forever be treasured by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

After courageously battling metastatic cervical cancer, Elizabeth passed away peacefully on July 20, 2026.

Though she is no longer with us in body, the love she shared, the lives she influenced, and the memories she created will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her. Her legacy of compassion, strength, and dedication will never be forgotten.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate caregivers at Elmora Hills Health & Rehabilitation Center for the care and support they provided during Elizabeth's final journey. May Elizabeth Torres rest in eternal peace, and may her memory forever be a blessing.
