Debbie Ann Graves

Debbie Ann Graves, 64, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2026, at Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx, New York.

Family and friends are welcome to visit on Thursday, September 17th from 9-11am in Las Rosas Bannworth Funeral Home, 1055 E. Jersey Street Elizabeth, NJ 07201.

Funeral service will commence at 11am followed by interment in Rosedale Cemetery, Linden, NJ.

Debbie was born on October 18, 1961, in Marion, South Carolina, to the late Ishmael Legatte and Bobby Rebecca Pee. She was a proud African American woman who carried her Southern roots, values, and faith throughout her life.

Debbie was a woman of deep faith who found comfort and strength in prayer and in reading the Bible. Her relationship with God was an important part of her daily life, and she was always willing to share her faith and encouragement with others. She served as one of the leaders of a group of individuals who had experienced abuse, offering them compassion, understanding, and a listening heart. She would often pray with members of the group, providing spiritual support and reminding them that they were not alone.

Debbie was an educated and dedicated woman who earned an Associate Degree and built a career with the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles, where she worked in state government prior to her retirement. She took pride in her work and in the service she provided throughout her career.

Outside of work and her ministry to others, Debbie found joy in the simple things that made life meaningful. She especially loved spending time with her grandson and treasured the moments they shared together. She enjoyed watching videos and learning about different subjects, always curious and interested in discovering something new. She was an avid fan of HGTV and enjoyed listening to gospel music, which brought her comfort and joy.

Debbie also loved the outdoors and cherished taking long walks with her beloved canine companions. Those walks provided her with peaceful moments to enjoy nature, reflect, and spend time with her faithful pets.

Above all, Debbie was a loving and devoted mother. She leaves behind her cherished daughters, Rebecah Bianca Dingle, Esther Melvina Dingle, and Chrystina Dingle, who will forever carry her love and memory in their hearts. She will also be lovingly remembered by her grandson, extended family, relatives, friends, former colleagues, and the many people whose lives she touched through her kindness, faith, and encouragement.

Debbie was previously married to David Dingle and Harold Davis.

Debbie's life was a testament to the power of faith, perseverance, compassion, and love. She gave comfort to others, encouraged those who were hurting, and found joy in her family, her faith, her pets, and the world around her. Though she will be deeply missed, the lessons she taught, the prayers she shared, and the love she gave will remain in the hearts of those who knew her.

May Debbie Ann Graves rest peacefully in the loving arms of God and may her memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
