Carlos Hernan Gomez Guerrero, 86, of Elizabeth, NJ, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on March 1, 2026.

Family and friends are welcome to visit on Wednesday, March 4th from 4-8pm in Las Rosas Bannworth Funeral Home, 1055 E. Jersey Street Elizabeth, NJ 07201.

Born on December 12, 1939, in Champa, Chile, Carlos was the beloved son of Jose Antonio Gomez Serrano and Zoila Guerrero Vidal. Raised with strong values of faith, hard work, and devotion to family, he carried these principles with him throughout his life and across continents when he made his home in the United States.

Carlos was a devoted and loving husband to his cherished wife, Marta Gomez. Their marriage was a beautiful partnership built on love, respect, and unwavering support. Together they created a warm and welcoming home filled with laughter, resilience, and treasured memories.

He was a proud and dedicated father to Brenda Gomez-Pinto, Carlos B. Gomez-Pinto, and Cristian H. Gomez-Pinto. Carlos found his greatest joy in his children’s accomplishments and the time they shared together. His guidance, strength, and gentle wisdom shaped their lives in lasting ways. Cherished grandfather of Carlos Felipe, Michael Angelo, Jonathan and Anthony.

Before retiring, Carlos was a gifted baker whose talent brought comfort and happiness to many. Through long hours and early mornings, he poured his heart into his craft. Baking was more than a profession—it was an expression of his generosity and care for others. Friends, neighbors, and customers alike will remember not only the quality of his work but the warmth of his smile.

Carlos will be remembered for his kindness, humility, and steadfast devotion to his family. He had a quiet strength, a generous spirit, and a deep love for those around him. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled, the traditions he upheld, and the love he gave so freely.

Carlos encontraba su mayor alegría en los logros de sus hijos y en el tiempo que compartían juntos. Su guía, fortaleza y sabiduría serena marcaron sus vidas de manera duradera.
