Aurelina Mojica (nee Luna), 83, of Elizabeth, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on July 6, 1942, in San Cristóbal, Dominican Republic, to the late Julio Luna and Amantina Brito. Aurelina lived a life deeply rooted in faith, service, and love for others.

A devoted clergywoman, Aurelina faithfully served as a leader in the Iglesia Pentecostal Nueva Vida Alfa & Omega, where her ministry was truly her life’s calling. She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to serving her congregation and community, always offering guidance, prayer, and compassion to those in need. Her unwavering faith and selfless spirit touched countless lives, and she was known for always being present for her people.

Aurelina was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Samuel Mojica, who passed away in 2016.

She leaves behind a loving legacy through her five children, six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren, all of whom were a source of immense pride and joy. She is also survived by her seven devoted siblings, along with many extended family members, friends, and members of her church family who will forever cherish her memory.

Aurelina Mojica will be remembered for her deep faith, generous heart, and lifelong commitment to serving God and others. Her legacy of love and ministry will continue to live on in all those she inspired.

Family and friends are welcome to visit on Saturday, February 7th & Sunday, February 8th between 2-4pm & funeral service 4-7pm in Iglesia Pentecostal Nueva Vida Alfa & Omega, 51 3rd St #57, Elizabeth, NJ 07206.

A funeral service will be celebrated on Monday, February 9th, 10am in Iglesia Pentecostal Nueva Vida Alfa & Omega, 51 3rd St #57, Elizabeth, NJ 07206.

Interment will follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery & Mausoleum, 53 Inman Avenue, Colonia, NJ 07067.

Professional arrangements are entrusted to and under the direction of Las Rosas Bannworth Funeral Home, 1055 E. Jersey Street Elizabeth, NJ 07201.

Aurelina Mojica (de soltera Luna), de 83 años, residente de Elizabeth, Nueva Jersey, falleció en paz el 4 de febrero de 2026, rodeada del amor de su familia.

Nació el 6 de julio de 1942 en San Cristóbal, República Dominicana, hija de los ya fallecidos Julio Luna y Amantina Brito. Aurelina vivió una vida profundamente arraigada en la fe, el servicio y el amor por los demás.

Como clériga dedicada, Aurelina sirvió fielmente como líder en la Iglesia Pentecostal Nueva Vida Alfa & Omega, donde su ministerio fue verdaderamente el llamado de su vida. Se entregó de todo corazón al servicio de su congregación y comunidad, ofreciendo siempre orientación, oración y compasión a quienes lo necesitaban. Su fe inquebrantable y su espíritu desinteresado tocaron innumerables vidas, y era conocida por estar siempre presente para su pueblo.

Aurelina fue precedida en muerte por su amado esposo, Samuel Mojica, quien falleció en 2016.

Deja un legado de amor a través de sus cinco hijos, seis nietos y cinco bisnietos, quienes fueron una fuente de inmenso orgullo y alegría. También le sobreviven sus siete queridos hermanos, junto con muchos familiares extendidos, amigos y miembros de su familia de iglesia, quienes atesorarán su memoria por siempre.

Aurelina Mojica será recordada por su profunda fe, su corazón generoso y su compromiso de toda la vida con el servicio a Dios y a los demás. Su legado de amor y ministerio continuará viviendo en todos aquellos a quienes inspiró.

Familiares y amigos están invitados a visitar el sábado 7 de febrero y el domingo 8 de febrero, de 2:00 a 4:00 p.m., y al servicio funerario de 4:00 a 7:00 p.m., en la Iglesia Pentecostal Nueva Vida Alfa & Omega, 51 3rd St #57, Elizabeth, NJ 07206.

El servicio fúnebre se celebrará el lunes 9 de febrero a las 10:00 a.m. en la Iglesia Pentecostal Nueva Vida Alfa & Omega, 51 3rd St #57, Elizabeth, NJ 07206.
