Angel L. Rodriguez

Angel L. Rodriguez, 83, of Elizabeth, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2026, while under the care of hospice.

Family and friends are welcome to visit on Thursday, October 8th from 4-8pm in Las Rosas Bannworth Funeral Home, 1055 E. Jersey Street Elizabeth, NJ 07201.

Funeral service will commence on Friday, October 9th, 10am in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery, Linden, NJ.

Born on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1943, in Jayuya, Puerto Rico, Angel was a proud Puerto Rican who cherished his roots and the life he built with his family. In 1967, he settled in Elizabeth, New Jersey, with his beloved wife, Dominga.

Angel was known by his family and friends as a hardworking and devoted man who was always determined to provide for his family and ensure their well-being. He took great pride in his family and especially enjoyed family gatherings and the time he spent with his grandchildren. Angel was tremendously proud of his children and grandchildren and their accomplishments.

Angel dedicated many years of service to the City of Elizabeth, working in Public Works.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Dominga Rodriguez; his daughters, Margarita Matos and her husband, Luis Matos, and Omaira Wynne; his grandchildren, Daniel, Jaquelyn, Brianna, and Ariana; his sisters, Ana Hilda Rodriguez and Ada Rosa Rodriguez; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Angel will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Angel’s memory.

Angel L. Rodriguez, de 83 años, de Elizabeth, Nueva Jersey, falleció en paz el 5 de octubre de 2026, bajo el cuidado de cuidados paliativos.

Familiares y amigos están cordialmente invitados a acompañar a la familia el jueves 8 de octubre, de 4:00 p. m. a 8:00 p. m., en Las Rosas Bannworth Funeral Home, 1055 E. Jersey Street, Elizabeth, NJ 07201.

Los servicios funerarios comenzarán el viernes 9 de octubre a las 10:00 a. m. en la funeraria. Posteriormente, se llevará a cabo el sepelio en Rosedale Cemetery, Linden, NJ.

Nacido el Día de San Valentín, el 14 de febrero de 1943, en Jayuya, Puerto Rico, Angel fue un orgulloso puertorriqueño que siempre valoró profundamente sus raíces y la vida que construyó junto a su familia. En 1967, se estableció en Elizabeth, Nueva Jersey, junto a su amada esposa, Dominga.

Angel era conocido por sus familiares y amigos como un hombre trabajador y dedicado, siempre dispuesto a esforzarse para mantener a su familia y asegurar su bienestar. Sentía un gran orgullo por su familia y disfrutaba especialmente de las reuniones familiares y del tiempo que compartía con sus nietos. Angel se sentía inmensamente orgulloso de sus hijos, sus nietos y de todos sus logros.

Angel dedicó muchos años de servicio a la Ciudad de Elizabeth, donde trabajó en el Departamento de Obras Públicas.

Le sobreviven su amada esposa de 58 años, Dominga Rodriguez; sus hijas, Margarita Matos y su esposo, Luis Matos, y Omaira Wynne; sus nietos, Daniel, Jaquelyn, Brianna y Ariana; sus hermanas, Ana Hilda Rodriguez y Ada Rosa Rodriguez; y numerosos sobrinos y sobrinas.

Angel será profundamente extrañado por su familia, amigos y por todos aquellos que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerlo y quererlo. Su recuerdo permanecerá para siempre en los corazones de todos los que deja atrás.
