Alonzo Sandoval Guzman, 64, of Ewing Township, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2026, at Serenity Hospice Care Inpatient Unit in Hamilton Township, New Jersey.
Family and friends are welcome to gather for visitation. (The church, date, and time of visitation will be announced.)
Following services in New Jersey, Alonzo will make his final journey home to Guatemala, where he will be laid to rest at Cementerio de Trocha 4 Calle Palo Blanco in Nueva Concepción, Escuintla.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and supervision of Las Rosas Bannworth Funeral Home, 1055 E. Jersey Street, Elizabeth, New Jersey 07201.
Alonzo was born on January 21, 1962, in Atescatempa, Jutiapa, Guatemala, to the late Fulgencio Sandoval and Maria Catalina Guzman.
A hardworking and dedicated man, Alonzo spent much of his life working in the cleaning industry. He was known for his strong work ethic and the dedication with which he approached his responsibilities. Throughout his life, he remained deeply connected to his Guatemalan heritage, his family, and the people who were important to him.
Alonzo will be remembered for the life he built, the relationships he shared, and the memories he leaves behind with his family and loved ones. His journey took him from Guatemala to New Jersey, where he made his home in Ewing Township while maintaining a lasting connection to the country of his birth.
He leaves behind his family, including his nephew, Donovan Sandoval, as well as extended family members and friends in the United States and Guatemala who will remember him with love.
May his memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved him, and may he rest in eternal peace.
