Alejandra Funes Charco Ruiz, 59, of Roselle, New Jersey, passed away on December 13, 2025. Born in Guerrero, Mexico, Alejandra was a woman of deep love, strength, and devotion to her family.

She was the devoted wife of Jose Funes Perez and a cherished mother to Lesly, Gisel, and Jose. Alejandra’s heart carried both immense love and profound sorrow, as she was predeceased by her beloved son, Jesus Funes Charco, who passed away on December 9, 2025.

Alejandra was known for her warm spirit and joyful personality. She loved to cook for her family, filling her home with comforting aromas and laughter. Always ready with a joke, she brought smiles to those around her. She also enjoyed fishing and relaxing while watching her favorite Turkish novelas. To her grandchildren, she was lovingly known as “Mami Ale,” a name that reflected the tenderness and affection she shared with them.

From a young age, Alejandra showed a remarkable sense of responsibility and selflessness. She was the best of daughters, lovingly caring for her younger siblings and helping manage the household, a role she carried with pride and grace throughout her life.

Alejandra Funes Charco Ruiz will be remembered for her kindness, humor, nurturing heart, and unwavering dedication to her family. Her memory will live on in the countless lives she touched and in the love she leaves behind.

Family and friends are welcome to visit on Monday December 22nd from 8-11:30am in Las Rosas Bannworth Funeral Home, 1055 E. Jersey Street Elizabeth, NJ 07201.

Catholic Funeral service will commence at 11:30am followed by an interment in Rosedale Cemetery, Linden.

Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery, Linden.

Alejandra Funes Charco Ruiz, de 59 años, residente de Roselle, Nueva Jersey, falleció el 13 de diciembre de 2025. Nacida en Guerrero, México, Alejandra fue una mujer de profundo amor, fortaleza y devoción a su familia.

Fue la esposa dedicada de José Funes Pérez y la querida madre de Lesly, Gisel y José. El corazón de Alejandra llevó tanto un amor inmenso como un profundo dolor, ya que fue precedida en fallecimiento por su amado hijo, Jesús Funes Charco, quien partió el 9 de diciembre de 2025.

Alejandra era conocida por su espíritu cálido y su personalidad alegre. Le encantaba cocinar para su familia, llenando su hogar de aromas reconfortantes y risas. Siempre lista para hacer una broma, regalaba sonrisas a quienes la rodeaban. También disfrutaba de la pesca y de relajarse viendo sus novelas turcas favoritas. Para sus nietos, era cariñosamente conocida como “Mami Ale”, un nombre que reflejaba la ternura y el cariño que compartía con ellos.

Desde joven, Alejandra demostró un notable sentido de responsabilidad y entrega. Fue la mejor de las hijas, cuidando con amor a sus hermanos menores y ayudando a llevar el hogar, un papel que desempeñó con orgullo y gracia a lo largo de su vida.

Alejandra Funes Charco Ruiz será recordada por su bondad, su sentido del humor, su corazón generoso y su dedicación inquebrantable a su familia. Su recuerdo vivirá en las innumerables vidas que tocó y en el amor que deja como legado.

Familiares y amigos están invitados a visitar el lunes 22 de diciembre de 8:00 a.m. a 11:30 a.m. en la Funeraria Las Rosas Bannworth, ubicada en 1055 E. Jersey Street, Elizabeth, NJ 07201.

El servicio fúnebre católico dará inicio a las 11:30 a.m., seguido del sepelio en el Cementerio Rosedale, en Linden.
